My Weekly Gallery (The Art of Overhaul)

19 February 2012 became the last day for my involvement in yearly overhaul. I have been involved started from 3rd of February. Initially I only intend to learn about the EP, but in the end I get a lot of things.Among the mechanical engineers, we felt that we were getting closer to each other.

I also enlarge my relationship by getting new relations. More or less I started to know the black and white the world of contracting. I began to understand a little detail of activities ranging from inspection, execution to commissioning.

One that interests me is welding!! Yes, couple days ago, when the work has started over, I took time to gain knowledge directly from the welder to learn how to weld. And those details have been outlined in a gallery which I call as the art of overhaul.

This picture told us how to lift the collecting plate up.
Mobile crane, trailer truck, and other heavy equipment were needed in such work.
If you want to know how confined this workplace, yes this picture is the answer.  Those are the installation of collecting plate and discharge electrode which approximately each other just 200 mm in space.
Not only confined, it's also dark.
I've to inspect each part in detail.
Since this year, we put some kind of plate to make us easy in doing some inspection inside the EP
We used to take a rest after lunch break by sleeping, This work really take much energy. Sleep in peace!
Even Ferry and me don't have any time for having breakfast in "warung". We often buy it in front of our housing then bring  and eat it at office. Gudeg is always our favorite menu.
By this overhaul, we feel that we are getting closer to each other. We were tired, happy, and other emotions which were felt together. Even we had a dinner as Mech.Engineering student did, "makan ala mesin" hehhe.  Solidarity Forever!!
After took a some kind of short course of welding from the welder, I got a chance to weld the outer roof. Not to bad, but I'm gonna learn more seriously in welding practice. Who knows someday I'm able to be Welding Inspector or even Welding Engineer. Hehe

Yeayy,,this picture was taken after the work hours. Both of them were worker who involved in this project.
The last but not least, I always had a chance to take a pose for a second.Hehe

Keep Learning, Keep Growing!!
